数据说明
The aim of the study is to compare Nissen fundoplication with Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) patients using the Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease-Health Related Quality of Life Instrument (GERD-HRQL) instrument.
A retrospective case-control study was conducted with a sample of Lebanese adults (N=210) to measure the quality of life using the GERD-HRQL instrument. The participants were divided into three different groups. The first group consisted of GERD patients who underwent Nissen fundoplication, the second group of GERD patients on PPIs, and the third group of healthy controls. Participants were asked to self-complete a questionnaire after providing their consent. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software, version 27.0.
