This dataset contains de-identified orthopedic discharge records from a county-level hospital in Jiangsu Province, China, covering 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2025.
THIS DATASET HAS THREE VERSIONS:
Orthopedic discharge data 2014-2025 ZH 17.84MB: Full dataset of all 55,791 records discharged from the orthopedic ward, including patients temporarily admitted from other departments due to bed shortages.
Orthopedic discharge data 2014-2025 EN 6.99MB:This is the English translation version of the original Chinese dataset(Orthopedic discharge data 2014-2025 ZH), with a supplementary translation code file provided to ensure consistency between the two language versions.Accompanying files include the Chinese-to-English translation code, the Chinese-English term mapping table, and the final English version of the dataset, which together ensure the traceability of the translation process and the consistency of professional terminology.
VERSION 2 (9.70MB): Analytic subset of 55,787 records after exclusion of patients admitted from other departments using orthopedic ward beds (i.e., patients whose primary admitting department was not orthopedics). This version is the analytic dataset for our research paper, which examines health equity, seasonal patterns, and DRG payment reform impact.
